ImpACT collaborates with Anglo Educational Services to increase awareness of business and human rights amongst youth

LONDON - ImpACT International for Human Rights Policies and Anglo Educational Services, both organisations based in London, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate efforts in raising awareness on alarming business and human rights violations taking place across the globe.

Established in 1973, partnering organisation Anglo Educational Services, focuses on organising long-term and short-term unpaid internship placements, work accommodation and customised professional, educational, alumni and sports tours based mainly in London, the UK and Europe.

This is an essential step in the right direction for the youth of this generation to begin to get educated on the policies that lie at the intersection of states and businesses, with great focus on human rights

ImpACT International stated that the primary purpose of such an agreement is to enhance and aid interns across the globe with experience in their chosen fields of interest whilst introducing them to ImpACT’s mission.

The two organisations agreed to work together to provide interns with the skills they need to enhance their understanding of business and human rights.

“This is an essential step in the right direction for the youth of this generation to begin to get educated on the policies that lie at the intersection of states and businesses, with great focus on human rights” Lara Hamidi, principal researcher at ImpACT International, said.

“With these basic skills as a tool, students will be able to spread their influence and comment and give advice on human rights policies by governments, international bodies, powerful corporations and national institutions.”

ImpACT International takes it as a great priority to not only produce the material needed to achieve its mission of operationalising an international culture of human rights but to enhance interns’ experiences in the field of human rights and business. Such dedication to training in this demanding field will produce a generation of motivated and skilled students ready to help create a safer environment for us all to live in and protect their rights.

Throughout the future, ImpACT International hopes to continue its work with Anglo Educational Services and partnering organisations to create the policymakers of tomorrow.
