It monitors and delivers technical advice on human rights to governments, international bodies, national institutions, and influential corporations.

Required Qualifications

Education

Master’s degree in human rights, political science, international relations, business administration, media, or any related field.

Skills

  • Excellent English written and speaking skills.
  • Excellent research skills.
  • Background knowledge of labour rights, international humanitarian law, human rights, and the UN Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights.
  • Producing and delivering quality results.
  • Expert in Middle East issues and policies.

 

Individuals must demonstrate excellent/very good academic performance through recent university or institution records.

Languages

Essential: Expert knowledge of research and English (fluency in writing and speaking).

Description of duties

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research human rights violations related to policies of states and businesses, and draft researches, press releases, reports, or articles.
  • Identify and highlight key labour rights and human rights trends and emerging issues, and analyse abuses within the broader political, social, and economic context.
  • Write and publicize reports, briefing papers, letters, news releases, op-eds, and submissions to international bodies based on the findings.
  •  Deliver outputs in a timely manner and maintain consistency with the agreed strategy and priorities of the organisation.
  • Manage the research team of the organization.
  • Organize seminars that tackle labour human rights issues.
  • Represent the organization in public webinars and conferences.
